The nature of the soil promotes harmonious development of the grape's aromas, with nuances of hazelnut and roasted almonds.

Wine Story

  • Terroir

Located to the south of Mâcon around the rocks of Vergisson and Solutré, in the communes of Fuissé, Pouilly, Solutré, Vergisson, and Chaintré. The vineyards are situated on steep, east/southeast-facing slopes at altitudes between 250 and 350 meters on clay-limestone soils.

  • Vineyard

The vineyard's history dates back to medieval times, and its unique location and soil composition have been renowned for centuries as one of the premier sites for growing Chardonnay in Burgundy.

  • Vinification

The grapes are pressed to extract the must, which is then fermented at controlled low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is partial or complete, depending on the wine's acidity level. A portion of the harvest is aged in oak barrels. Bottling occurs after 6 to 8 months.

Domaine Collin-Bourisset

Two centuries of history

Faithful to the spirit of their founders in 1821, Henri Collin and Louis Bourisset joined forces at the beginning of the 20th century to lead the eponymous house. A true pioneer in many areas, vinifying the historic estate of the Hospices de Romanèche Thorins, the Collin Bourisset house has always had a single goal: to extract the best wines from the finest slopes of Beaujolais and Burgundy.
