Addax

Addax Wines was founded in 2009 by Josh Peeples and David Gordon, combining their shared passion for exceptional vineyard sites across Napa Valley with a commitment to producing wines that authentically express California's premier terroirs.

History

A Partnership Born from Passion

The foundation of Addax began when Josh Peeples and David Gordon discovered their mutual appreciation for Napa Valley's most distinguished vineyards. Their collaboration, strengthened by Gordon's extensive background as wine director at Tribeca Grill and Peeples' entrepreneurial spirit, led them to establish relationships with some of Napa's most prestigious growers. Working closely with renowned winemaker Russell Bevan, they carefully selected exceptional vineyard sites that would become the cornerstone of Addax's portfolio.

The Vision

Pursuit of Excellence Through Terroir

At the heart of Addax lies an unwavering commitment to showcasing the distinct personality of each vineyard site. Through meticulous vineyard selection and a non-interventionist winemaking approach, they strive to let each wine tell its own story. The team's philosophy centers on patience and precision, allowing the natural characteristics of each site to shine through. Their state-of-the-art winery, built with optimal wine production in mind, enables them to craft wines that capture the essence of their exceptional vineyard sources while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

The Wines

A Testament to Napa Valley Excellence

The 2019 Addax Cabernet Sauvignon exemplifies the extraordinary character of the vintage, showcasing intense aromas of black currant, dark cherry, and cocoa powder, complemented by subtle notes of graphite and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine reveals layers of rich dark fruit, with perfectly integrated oak and refined tannins that provide exceptional structure and length. This limited-production Cabernet Sauvignon represents both power and elegance, demonstrating the distinctive qualities of its premium Napa Valley vineyard sources.
